The stage performance process is always made memorable by the use of lights. It’s not only about making the space lively; it is about creating atmosphere and focus and turning a normal stage into a WOW factor. That’s where advanced stage lighting solutions like IN-PIX200 and IN-PIX400 come into play.

However, both of these LED pixel bar lights are great and are made to suit different needs and financial capabilities. When it comes to event management, whether it is a small theatre show, a corporate event, or even an exhibition, it is important to know the differences between these two models so that one can make the right decision.

In this article, I will explain the two Uplus lighting models, their differences, and which situations are best for using each of them so that by the end of it, you will have a better idea of which of them will work for you.

Now, let’s know what makes these two lighting solutions different from each other. Which one of them is suitable for your next big event? Without further ado, let’s dig into the details of each, the differences between them, and when it is best to use one or the other.

Key Features and Specifications of IN-PIX200 and IN-PIX400

So, when comparing these two lighting options, it will be seen that both are filled with the latest technology and useful functions. Still, every one of them stands out (and I do mean that literally!).

IN-PIX200: Small Yet Powerful

The IN-PIX200 is a two-row RGBW LED pixel bar that is specifically designed for indoor stage lighting applications. This model is equipped with 20 10W RGBW LEDs, making it a highly bright light source with a variety of color options. It doesn’t matter whether you need deep reds, bright blues, or more subtle ambient colors; this light can deliver them accurately.

Among them is the flexibility of the beam angle that ranges from 6°, 10°, 15°, 25°, and 40°. These options provide lighting designers with awesome opportunities to alter the beam spread in accordance with a particular scene. Whether you want a focused beam or a broader coverage, this bar light is just right for the job.

Also, the DMX512 control protocol provides effective communication with other lighting control networks. You can set the master-slave control and automatic operation modes and create complex light effects with the help of programming without having to adjust every detail manually.

In cases where the event requires an LED screen but space and or money are a limitation, the IN-PIX200 is an ideal choice due to its size. It has a low power consumption of a maximum of 200W and thus will not drain your power supply even when you use many of them.

IN-PIX400: Bigger and Brighter

If you are in search of more power, flexibility, and control, then the IN-PIX400 has been designed to meet your needs. Featuring 40 10W RGBW LEDs, it is nearly twice the LED and brightness capacity of the previous model. This extra power translates into richer color, higher intensity brightness, and better coverage in a larger area.

Another major improvement in the IN-PIX400 is the support of the ArtNet protocol. DMX512 is supported in both models, but ArtNet is a more advanced network-based lighting control solution. This makes IN-PIX400 ideal for the more complicated light control scenarios where time coordination is important, too.

Other interesting features include the Omega Quick Locking System Bracket, which makes it easy to put up or adjust the unit. For large events where minutes count, this quick locking system helps lighting crews build and change the light configuration easily and firmly.

Like the IN-PIX400S, it also comes with color and pattern effects and an easy-to-read LCD panel for control and setting. The power consumption is up to 400W, which is reasonable due to the presence of two LEDs. Nevertheless, it has high power consumption, yet it is effective and suitable for use even in the long run.

Therefore, even though there are many similarities between these two lights, their differences will matter in practice.

Differences between IN-PIX200 and IN-PIX400

At a quick glance, IN-PIX200 and IN-PIX400 appear to be similar products catering to similar market needs, with bright LED illumination, convenient control methods, and variable beam angles. However, some differences are discernable if one tries to go beyond the surface. These differences could be very decisive in the outcomes of which model is suitable for your occasion or location.

That said, let’s look at them separately and analyze the information we have:

1. Brightness and LED Count

The first and perhaps the most apparent disparity between these two lighting giants is one concerning LEDs and, more specifically, their output.

The IN-PIX200 is equipped with twenty RGBW 10 W LEDs: the performance satisfies the requirements of using intense colors and brightness. For very small stages or for small performances, that is usually sufficient to provide beautiful effects of lighting.

While the IN-PIX200 has 20 of these LEDs, the IN-PIX400 steps up that figure to 40, essentially giving the viewer two of everything and, thus, twice as bright and twice the coverage. If you are designing for a larger area or have to light the audience at great depth, the IN-PIX400 clearly triumphs.

The IN-PIX200 is a perfect fit if your event is a small theater play or an art show with fewer pieces of artwork on display. However, for large screen projects such as music festivals, grand exhibitions, and so on, the higher brightness components of the IN-PIX400 will outshine the rest.

2. Control Protocols: DMX vs. ArtNet

As for the protocol, both models employ the most popular professional lighting system – DMX512. This protocol can implement to much brightness, color, and effects. It enables a person to ensure that its lighting corresponds to the energy of a certain event.

However, the IN-PIX400 goes a notch higher by integrating ArtNet compatibility. The DMX512 is a perfect tool for simple lighting solutions. First, it’s a reliable system that’s quite popular, and finally, it is comparatively easy to program.

While the second edition uses individual addresses, networks such as ArtNet enable lighting designers to have network control so larger systems can operate with ease. This is specifically where IN-PIX200 comes in, for small-scale productions that only require the bare minimum of light control.

However, should you be planning a large concert or multi-zone event that demands highly synchronized operation of at least two dissimilar lighting systems, IN PIX 400 will afford you the requisite latitude and timing accuracy?

3. Mounting Flexibility

In terms of mounting and setting up, employability might be a making or a breaking point toward a tight schedule of the event.

One does not have to look far to find that the IN-PIX400 comes with the Omega Quick Locking System Bracket, so the mount/adjust facility is extremely easy. Be it in a rig or on the stage floor, the easy locking mechanism is fast, and the light will not swivel until you want it to.

The IN-PIX200 is also easy to mount on walls and ceilings, though it does not contain the same state-of-the-art fast-locking system as the IN-PIX300. It remains relatively easy to set up but is a bit time-consuming when fine-tuning the system under strict pressure.

Thus, if there is no need to save on setup time for a small project, the IN-PIX200 is more than sufficient. However, for big performances or concerts where the swapping of media is done in a relatively short amount of time, the IN-PIX400 is indispensable because of its quick–locking system.

4. Power Consumption

This means power must be considered; in fact, any venue that is older or has limited power is a concern.

The IN-PIX200 draws a power of up to 200W, and this means that the LED display is suitable for small events where power consumption is rather limited.

Of the two launched models, the IN-PIX400 is larger and brighter; it requires up to 400W input power.

Both models are relatively energy-thrifty; however, you should double-check that your facility is equipped to handle the extra power demands of the IN-PIX400 if you’re plotting to plug in multiple devices.

Still, there is a question to be answered – Which One Is Right for Your Event?

By now, you might have a clearer picture, but let’s simplify the choice even more:

Choose IN-PIX200 If:

✅ Your event is in a small hall, or it is a theater event.

✅ There’s considerable competition.

✅ There are issues regarding power, which means you require a product that has low power consumption.

✅ Your event needs basic but functional DMX512 for the control of lighting.

Ideal for musical recitals, Black Box Theater, art galleries, weddings, receptions, or any event that needs soft yet vibrant stage lighting .

Choose IN-PIX400 If:

✅ You are operating an extensive hall or an open stage.

✅ For your lighting setup, the amount of light you need should be at its highest and the coverage area wider.

✅ In SEC chases, advanced ArtNet control since synchronism is crucial.

Quick setup and mounting flexibility are the things that can significantly affect your project’s schedule.

Perfect for use in music festivals, large-scale stage performances cor, corporate events, and exhibitions as the voluminous light makes a grand statement.
