Professional Lighting Control for a National-Level Celebration

Uzbekistan’s 35th Independence Day celebration featured an impressive combination of stage lighting, large LED displays, architectural structures, multimedia content, lasers, fireworks and live performances.

For an event of this scale, the lighting control infrastructure needed to handle a large number of fixtures and control data while maintaining accurate synchronization and stable operation throughout the show.

6 Consoles for Large-Scale Show Programming

Six lighting consoles were deployed to support programming and operation during the Independence Day celebration.

The multi-console configuration provided lighting programmers and operators with greater flexibility when managing different areas, fixture groups and show sequences.

For a complex production involving large numbers of moving heads, wash lights, beam fixtures, strobes and other stage lighting equipment, multiple control consoles help create an efficient workflow while providing additional operational reliability.

NPU Network Processing for High-Capacity Control

The project also used multiple NPU – Network Processing Units to expand and distribute lighting control data throughout the venue.

The NPUs helped manage the large amount of DMX and network data generated by the control system, allowing lighting signals to be distributed efficiently between consoles, control racks and lighting equipment.

This network architecture is particularly important for:

Large outdoor celebrations, stadium shows, concerts, televised events, government ceremonies and other high-channel-count lighting projects.

30 Control Racks for Reliable Signal Distribution

A total of 30 control racks were deployed throughout the project.

The distributed rack system allowed control signals and related equipment to be positioned closer to different lighting areas, reducing unnecessary cable complexity and making system management more organized.

For large-scale outdoor productions, distributed control infrastructure also improves installation efficiency, troubleshooting and system reliability.
